| NEW 300 TON PRESS
On Monday 27th October, BGB had a new 300 ton press delivered. The 300 ton press is the second of its kind to be purchased in the last 2 years, making it the sixth moulding press in total at BGB. The press will give a slip ring mould capacity to a maximum diameter of 400mm by 400mm high and increase the company's capacity for large slip rings as orders continue to increase.
The press had to be delivered through the roof of the BGB factory and placed into position by an 120 ton crane. A cherry picker then had to be used to repair a roof panel that had to be removed in order to get the press in.
